A new report has come to light, revealing substantial payments made to members of three codification commissions linked with Poland’s Ministry of Justice. This report, published by the Veritas Et Ius Association, outlines that these commissions collectively disbursed nearly PLN 4.8 million to their members between the beginning of 2024 and the close of June 2026.
One individual standing out in the report is Krystian Markiewicz, who was among the top earners. Markiewicz received a total payment of PLN 240,000 over the specified period. Despite his removal from the position of chairman of the Codification Commission on the Judiciary and the Public Prosecution Service, he has retained his role as a member of the commission.
The report highlights that the judiciary commission alone has incurred expenses exceeding PLN 1.54 million. This figure comes from the commission’s activities, which included holding 36 meetings.
